Gel-Kayano Running Shoes - Size Up
I have been wearing ASICS Gel-Kayano for almost 20 years and have always worn 1 size up from regular shoes. Last few pairs 26-29 have been tight and hurt to run in, I would order and never thought to be sized again. I finally looked at shoe reviews that said size up, but since I already do, I didn't pay attention, until I sized up another half size, now 1.5 bigger size than regular shoes. I'm in running heaven, they fit amazingly and running feels so good. Moral - don't trust a number, it's about a fit.

Ruined the best shoes
I wore ASICS Kayano shoes for years and years. They were the best. I never even considered another brand. The last two versions of this shoe are ridiculously wide and have completely changed the fit and comfort of what was an amazing shoe. Not everyone wants Hoka width. Some people prefer more narrow shoes and it’s a shame you couldn’t have added a new version and also kept what worked so well for so long. I’m very disappointed and struggling to find any shoes that aren’t way too wide. Please bring back the Kayano 25-29 style. I’m not the only one who feels this way unfortunately.

Not for me.
I wanted to love these. They fit, were stable and very cushioned upon try-on. However, after two days, both heels were so blistered and my mid feet ached. I could not walk. The hurt from the high heel to toe ratio was too much for my knees and feet. Nordstrom was very gracious and accepted my return.
