Deceiving sizing
The actual waste can is will hold less then 1quart. The nice looking outside is 5 quarts

Love it, but too small
I love this step can for the bathroom, but the 5L is too small for my liking even in my half bath. I did buy the 9L for the main bathroom and I love that one so much more. I will eventually get another 9L at some point. I personally do not think the 5L is worth buying for any room.

Perfect size
I love all Simplehuman products. This one did not disappoint me. Made well. Love the brush style. Functions as should and easily. I use mine in the bedroom. It is the only can that keeps the pets out. I no longer worry about the dog or cat removing trash from the can. I never go wrong with a simplehuman product.
