Banbury Rain Boot (Women)

I wanted to try a new brand after wearing the same Hunters for 10 years, which held up great and just felt too high at the knee. And also just felt like they’ve run their course. Decided to try a brand they actually wear in the UK that are still casual for the PNW. They run true to size and aren’t too wide in the calf. (I don’t have wide calves.) They’re a little heavier than I expected. Maybe a tiny bit clunky, but perfect for what I need.

quintessential british style and comfort! cute plaid interior and smooth, sturdy-feeling structure all around. I was a huge Hunter fan for 10+yrs - my first pair lasted over a decade but my second pair completely cracked after 3mos, so I’m excited to switch to Barbour. Usually an 8.5 but the 8s work perfectly for me (was always an 8 in Hunter too) even with thicker socks for longer walks with my four-legged bestie. My one concern is the soles feel smoother than I’d like for gripping the ground in slippery conditions, so we’ll see how it goes!
