14K Yellow Gold Heart to Heart Ring

I got my ring a few days ago and I was surprised at how light and dainty it is compared to the picture on the site. The gold is thin but you can tell it is good quality. The band was a bit bent when I took it out of the package. I was able to bend it back into shape without any tools; that's how thin the gold is. I got this for my right middle finger, which is normally a size 7.5. Unfortunately, no half sizes are available and the largest size they have for this ring is a 7. I decided to try it for a few days even though it felt snug and I can honestly say, I am glad to have given it a chance. With the slightly tight fit, it doesn't come off easily and I am able to wear it as advertised, in the shower, washing dishes...pretty much 24/7. I haven't taken it off since I put it on. The low profile design and light weight makes it easy to forget I'm even wearing it and my finger was able to adjust to the size. This is exactly what I had envisioned for an everyday piece that I don't have to worry about getting gunk on and having to remove each time I do chores. With that being said, the fine gold does scratch up easily. It doesn't show much with this design since it's open hearts and not a "statement" piece. It is for my own admiration. I would not suggest wearing the more solid designs like the signet ring and the Cupola as 24/7 pieces if seeing scratches on your gold will bother you.
