Both my husband and I have them and use them under coats for riding, skiing, or hiking in the winter. We also have 175 weight and 260 weight base layers. Having all three allows us to select the right one for whatever conditions we ride, ski or hike in. We've had a number of different base layers and these are our favorites.

I have three of these shirts!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the years my wardrobe has become flooded with clothing from Icebreaker. In the winter I rarely wear any other brand. The baselayers really have no competition from any other clothing competitor - they are truly like a second (warmer) skin. This particular piece is the softest smoothest yet. Despite it being a "blend" it maintains comfortable climate and moisture control. I expect that it will wear well as have all the other items I have purchased from this company.

Favorite fall and winter layer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Half zip and thumbholes make this shirt one of my favorite layers. Form fitting and warm. I run cold so I layer this with an icebreaker tank. On extra cool days the quantum jacket goes on top to keep me at the perfect temperature. The half zip allows breathability or a zip up to keep my neck warm. I am a slender, small breasted 5'8", with long arms and torso. A medium fits well. I wish all the shirts had thumbholes! I look forward to seeing more colors in future. Hint: a dark green and a dark maroon would be wonderful!
