Bad quality and VERY DISAPPOINTING!
I got 4 of this oval plate last weekend. I didn’t use it yet.
"There's a thick, raised line along the edge of two plates." Those are really visible. One plate has unfinished on the edge and visible pore spots. It is very disappointing. I can not believe that the Staub quality for ceramic wares has this bad condition. I have to return it!

Wonderful design and quality
I wanted to try something a little different and ended up loving these more than I thought I would. I wouldn't call this a "serving platter" though. It's a plate/bowl for one person that happens to be oval shaped instead of round. I've used this for an asparagus casserole and it was the perfect shape, and often find myself reaching for it over my regular bowls and plates. Since it's not listed on the product page, I'll tell you that the capacity is exactly the same as the 4.5" Small Universal Bowl, which is .42 quarts. The flared rim makes it look a little bigger than it is.
