Worker Well-Being

Across the garment, footwear and textile industry, millions of workers face challenges that may impact their safety, economic opportunity and fair working conditions. We aim to support safer, fairer workplaces with greater access to opportunity that promote worker well-being, strengthening long-term resilience across our supply chain.

Our Goal

Provide access to wellbeing and livelihood programming for 80,000 supply chain workers

Our goal is to provide access to well-being and livelihood programming for 80,000 workers in our supply chain. We believe that when workers have stable livelihoods, factories experience better retention and stronger skills and are at lower risk of labor violations. To support our goal, our livelihood programming goes beyond compliance to address topics such as:

Income stability
Financial planning
Upskilling
Physical and mental health
Long-term employability

To inform our efforts, we partner with organizations that can bring their expertise to supply chain initiatives to drive industry-wide change.

Our Partnerships

RISE

Reimagining Industry to Support Equality (RISE) is empowering garment workers, embedding equality in business practices and inspiring cross-industry, system-level change. As an active RISE partner, we have deployed many of their programs within our supplier facilities, including the RISE Respect program, which targets gender-based violence and harassment prevention and tools for effective remediation at facilities.

Better Work

We are long-standing partners of the Better Work program to promote decent working conditions for garment workers. We have also supported Better Work to advance worker well-being across the industry more widely. This includes helping it develop an interactive tool that enables brands to prevent and effectively respond to violence and harassment in the supply chain. We also helped Better Work turn their Prevention of Sexual Harassment program methodology into an easy-to-use implementation guide.
