Details & care

One of Frye's original heritage styles is designed with the finest American leather for durability and performance, and topped with folded, double-thickness pull tabs. Genuine Goodyear welt construction includes a high-abrasion neoprene sole and heel, with secure treads for traction.

  • Approx. boot shaft height: 11 1/2"; 15 1/2" calf circumference (size 9).
  • Natural hide variations and markings contribute to the custom look of each boot. No two are alike.
  • In hot or humid weather, natural leather may release a protective, waxy coating; simply wipe it off with a damp cloth.

Best Boot Ever!

I bought my original pair 6 years ago while in college. I wore them pretty much every day since - to class, at parties/tailgates, riding on the ranch, etc. They were my go-to shoes no matter the season; comfortable (literally molded to my feet), stylish (the 1" heel gives a perfect boost), and extremely practical. I finally wore them out, putting a giant hole in the sole... but still can't seem to throw the first pair out. Glad to have a back up, but hopefully this serves as a true testament to the quality, comfort, and overall attachment these boots can provide. You won't regret clicking the "order now" button. If you still need reassurance, think of it this way: $300/72 months = ~$4 a month for a pair of boots. You're practically making money! ;)

Quality not consistent

I bought my size 9 the color and quality was beautiful. But I noticed my heel loose when I walked. So I ordered an 8.5 to compare and had them shipped to the store. First the box was black and not the same color of my first pair. The fit was perfect but the color was lighter and the quality looked cheap. I was so disappointed and ended up leaving with the size 9. I will probably just try to buy heel pads. I am worried about trying to order another 8.5 as I worry they changed the quality. I hope someone from Nordstrom sees this and can respond.

These boots are "magic"

A little girl told me her shoes were magic. Not to be outdone, I said, "My boots are magic." She asked me why are they magic and I said, "They comfortable and look good." She stared at me and I added, "When you're an adult - that's magic." truth.

glad I sized down

I’m 5”4 and size 8 in shoes. I’m glad I sized down to 7.5 because these boots are big and heavy so they can overwhelm a petite frame. Also I live in SoCal so I’m never going to wear thick socks with these. They are warm enough with just peds. These fit just right in the length at 7.5. I wouldn’t be able to wear thick socks with these. I would need an 8 in that case. Hope that helps anyone struggling with sizing.

Classic boots!

I always have such a disconnect looking at pictures of this boot since I am not really into the tough-girl, motorcycle chic vibe which is what these boots remind me of. However, once worn they mold chameleon-like into a pair of timeless, classic, chic boots. I've had my pair in the black pictured here for going on 6 years now. They're the pair that gets the most wear in the winter, even more than my more traditional looking black riding boots. They go with everything from skinny jeans/skirts/leggings and even under bootcut jeans. Over the years the leather has molded and become even more gorgeous if that's possible. This is the boot that started my love affair with Frye. Cannot recommend enough!

Classic good looks!

This boot is timeless and of absolutely superior quality and workmanship! I have been hoping to buy a pair for some time but they almost never go on sale. The fit is perfect and true to size. The leather is beautiful and I feel that I will get years and years of wear out of these boots. No regrets on this purchase!

Awesome Boots!!!!

I ordered 1/2 size UP!!! They are perfect!!! I like a little room in my boots. I have bunions and sizing up eliminates any problems!!!! My favorite Fryes this year!!! I've had this style before but never purchased them large enough. Now they are truly comfortable and I wear them every single day!!!! I wear an 8 and always order my Fryes in an 8.5!!!! Love, love, love them!!!!!
