Edge Maintenance 12-Inch Sharpening Steel

This sharpening steel has been a great addition to my kitchen. It’s easy to use and does a good job of keeping my knives feeling sharp between actual sharpenings. The 12-inch length is nice because it gives me plenty of room to work with, especially on larger knives. It feels sturdy and well-made, and the handle is comfortable to grip. I also like that it came with my ZWILLING set because it’s something I probably wouldn’t have thought to purchase separately. It won’t replace having your knives professionally sharpened or using a true knife sharpener when they’re really dull, but for regular maintenance, it works well. Overall, a solid, useful kitchen tool.

High quality! The perfect size with a great contact and edge. This has an excellent handle for effortless strokes. The swivel hook is a very useful feature. A great upgrade to the one included in the Professional S set.

This 12 inch rod, is perfect for honing and easily removes niches and scratches on the blade. The oval design, allows for greater surface area, achieving excellent results with far fewer strokes. This is a must for anyone serious about keeping their knives sharp and ready to use. Haven't had to have my knives sharpened in almost a year, since learning how to properly use this steel. Worth the effort, and plenty of on line tutorial videos available.
