Soft Luxe Wide Leg Pants

I wear an 8/M in most clothing, including Zella. The amount of fabric in these pants is just amazing. There is just so much of it. I tried a M (gigantic) and a S (baggy and dragging the ground). There wasn't an XS available but I gave up anyway. The fabric and construction are high quality. The Earl Grey color is more taupe in person but I loved it. I bought the jacket which I love.

Okay. Fabric gets a 10 out of 10 - amazing. Can’t say enough about the comfort - SOOOOO GOOD. Here’s the thing - I’m 5’2 and the wide leg was SO wide I had to laugh when I looked at myself in the mirror - fabric for DAYS. But - I didn’t want to give them back because they felt AMAZING on - so I took them to a tailor and had them take them in big time so they would just be a straight leg look rather than MASSIVELY wide legged. I have four of the Zella Luxe tunics/guarter zips and sweatshirts that go with these as well. Fabric and comfort are 10 out of 10 but those legs? That’s why it got 4 stars.

I bought the pants in brown and black, but bought the jacket too in brown for a full set. This has become my go-to outfit for plane travel. It’s buttery soft and has zippable pockets that are convenient for travel. I’m tall and the length of the pants is great. Similar to the other review, I did notice the pants pill in areas where my small cross-body purse was rubbing against it. It seemed like the fabric was overly sensitive and I would have expected more durability from something purchased in the “athletic section” of the store. Still hasn’t stopped me from wanting to buy more, but hoping they are able to maintain the softness in future iterations while reducing some of the fragility.
