Fragrance story: Zaferano is from Acqua di Parma's Signatures of the Sun collection and is an olfactory translation of the Venetian terrazzo's compositional technique, where precious materials such as gold, marble and Murano glass come together as an object of art. Saffron, renowned as the red gold of perfumery, is the starring ingredient, reimagined here with Italian brightness. The opening shines with mandarin, bergamot, coriander, and orange, creating a sparkling freshness that contrasts with saffrons dark, resinous facets. At the heart, saffron takes centre stage, its fiery and textured character softened and enriched by a floral bouquet of jasmine sambac, geranium, rose, and orange blossom. The base brings depth and sensuality with vanilla and tonka bean, whose gourmand warmth enhances saffrons richness, while patchouli grounds the composition with earthy intensity.
