Sparkling
Even though YSL Paris launched in 1983, it has never fallen into that black hole of fragrances that causes them to smell "dated". Most of us scorched our nosehairs and numbed our olfatory abilities with our '80's 'fumes, but I've never heard of Paris being banned from restaurants or causing lawsuits in the workplace. Paris is a radiant, sparkling, extremely feminine rose fragrance. It's heavier on the rose in the EDP, and heavier on the sparkle in the EDT. I've worn the EDT for years, and it never fails to make me feel happy and vibrant. Paris is one of those rare classic scents that can be worn by women of all ages, night and day. After all these years, I still get more compliments on Paris than nearly every other fragrance I've worn. It's a beautiful, uplifting scent.

Paris - Best Every Day Fragrance Ever
If Yves Staint Laurent discontinues this scent I will be devasted. Have used it for over 20 years and still get compliments. Perfect every day perfume.

Sparklly, soft, femiine
i used to wear Paris quite often years ago, and just rediscovered it very recently, and I am glad that I did. It does not seem as sweet, or strong, as I once remembered it (even though I always thought the scent was beautiful). To me it now seems much softer, more approachable, a floral but with a soft, powdery-ness about it, which keeps it warm and longer lasting. I know this scent is based around rose, and my husband loves it and says he can smell the rose, but I do not detect the rose as much, and just smell a soft, almost effervescent, slightly aldehyde floral, with an amazing dry-down. Very, very feminine. I purchased the EDT, which I believe smells less "rose" than the EDP. The EDT is just perfect, because although it is light and not too sweet, it is surprisingly long-wearing. I can still smell it lightly throughout the day. Very uplifting! A beautiful, feminine fragrance! It feels very modern, without all the sickly, sweet fruiity-ness of so many new fragrances.

Timeless Scent
I love this perfume! Every time my friends and I wear this, we always get compliments from both sexes. This scent is appropriate all occasions and ages.
I wear the toilette and find the scent last longer than many other fine fragrances.

My Favorite Fragrance
Paris is my favorite fragrance. I used to use Opium but as soon as I tried Paris I switched. It has a warm & feminine fragrance but it's not too sweet the way I find many scents. I also am allergic to many perfumes but I don't have any problems with Paris. When I've smelled it on other women I've always asked them what that wonderful scent is they're wearing because although it always smells great it seems to smell a little different on each person. It has been my favorite scent for a long time & I'm sure it will continue to be!

great fragrance but not for me
I've been on a perfume hunt for a few weeks now, and this one had rave reviews on a few of the blogs I frequent. So I just dove in.. not smart (buying perfume so blindly). I do live pretty far away from the local shops, and with Nordstrom's insanely awesome return policy, I thought "why not?"
So it arrived, and as soon as I took it out of the box, I could smell that thing, that indefinable quality that some fragrances have that bump up the age bracket by about 15-20 years. Definitely some powder, although it wasn't overkill. I really loved the rose, it felt full and warm.. candied, perhaps but in a less "teenage" way. A mature scent that I really wanted to love, and still do.. I just couldn't wear it :(
Very lovely for women who enjoy a sweet, non-abrasive or attention grabbing scents. It's sweet, and keeps close to the skin, definitely will consider repurchasing if it's not discontinued in the future!
