What it does: This long-wearing formula contains chili rose oil to strengthen, moisturize and protect nails from chipping and cracking. It's designed with a custom-made brush that allows for easy, fast application. The nail lacquer perfectly adheres to the brush, that pulls the drop instead of pushing it for a flawless, intense result.
How to use: Apply one coat of base coat and let dry. Apply one coat of lacquer and let dry. Follow with a second coat. Finish with a top coat.

Gorgeous gray
I bought 38 Gris Underground the other day and I love it so much I'm wearing it on both my toe and finger nails right now. I have several gray nail polishes, but what makes this one so different is the hint of lavender. It's so wearable and elegant, I absolutely love it. The brush is pretty wide, making application easy. The formula is great, it looked perfect in two coats. Dries very fast, I was very impressed by the short drying time. This is my first YSL nail polish and I want to try other colors, too.

Chips after one day!!
The only reason this product gets one star is because the color is beautiful (Bleu Majorelle) and has good coverage.
I am a manicurist, so I've used many polishes. This one chipped after one day!!! I was so disappointed because most reviews were positive. Perhaps the polish was used on acrylic nails, because polish will last longer and not chip as quickly. I used it on natural nails, and it had NO lasting power. The brush was horrible, very awkward in shape and hard to apply the polish.
Don't waste your money on this brand. There are many other MUCH less expensive brands that will wear for a week.

Gorgeous gray

No chipping
I bought YSL's nail lacquer in beige gallery. The color is gorgeous - a beige/greyish/purple color. I love it. The polish is great - it stayed on and didn't chip. I got a manicure on a Sunday and I had to remove the polish on Friday because I was getting that line between the polish and my cuticles due to nail growth. The polish itself was in perfect shape - I did a DIY manicure with an Essie color on Friday, and by Monday, it was already chipping.
I love the YSL polish so much that I just bought a new color, and I'm going to get a few for Christmas gifts. I also use Chanel, and I'd say this polish chips less often than Chanel.

You get what you pay for...
This nail lacquer may be pricey, but in terms of quality, it definitely pays off. My manicure lasted a full 8 days before it began to chip. My nails looked so shiny that everyone thought I had a gel manicure. The brush is not too wide or thin, so it is very easy to brush your entire nail with just three strokes. Also, the bottle is sleek and beautiful. I have this in jade imperial. It is a greyish, muted green. It is a very chic and edgy color.

Best Nail Polish
This is one of my favorite nail polishes out there. The wear time is great, the colors are unique and the brush is wide so as to apply it better.

Perfect for short summery nails!
I chose YSL Rose Abstrait for my nails this summer and am thrilled with the result. The color is subtle, yet has enough depth to give my fair skin the illusion of a slightly healthy tan. Also, it's perfect for my short nails.
I am so glad to have found YSL nail lacquer -- although it is at the higher price end of the spectrum, I find that with a base coat and two coats of YSL and a top coat that the color and polish wears well and lasts all week long. Even my co-workers comment on the lacquer, asking where I had my nails done! (I smile and say, YSL.)
