Y Iced Eau de Toilette Intense

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] YSL Y Iced Colonge is my favorite summer scent as of now. This is exactly what the Y line was missing for a while now. That specific summer style scent that brings a green aromatic twist to the DNA. The opening kicks off with a burst of mint freshness and a really interesting icy feel. That minty freshness is a very aromatic and fresh spicy with a clean green feel to it, but it isn’t herbal, It is just very sharp and clean green that actually projects pretty well right out the gate. As you transition into the heart of the fragrance, it starts to pick up a mor herbal feel with some added aromatics. This stage is really interesting because you have mint, mint tea, ice and blue sage all working together. It stays very freash and minty, but the combination of the tea and blue sage gives it an herbal and aromatic vibe with a slight musk to it as well. In the base of the fragrance, it becomes more woody and slightly earthy while keeping that musk vibe. You get a blend of patchouli and ambroxan weather patchouli provides an earth nuance, it is not too overpowering or too earthy, just a good balance of fresh slight woodiness. The ambroxan acts more as a booster note that provides a musky vibe, were amplifying the rest of the fragrance to help with the projection and longevity. Overall, I think it is a fantastic summer sent, and an easy reach for those hot weather days. This has the potential to be a great compliment magnet, because the style is intensely fresh with a woody nuance. The only problem would be the performance. It seems to only last around five hours on my skin, but around seven hours on clothes it still projects really well for that first hour so maybe reapply every so often. Try it for yourself. 8.5/10

The added mint really makes this a solid scent for those warm summer days. The bottle and atomizer are the same as the other YSL Y lineups. Highly recommend this if you are new to the line!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Iced Cologne by Yves Saint Laurent is simply amazing. The packaging is beautiful, from the bottle design, the good grip of the lid, the color that emphasizes the fragrance. When you spray the cologne, it applies so smoothly and effortlessly like a fine mist on your skin. The smell is outstanding and leaves a strong and pleasant trail as I move about. The cologne itself has lovely notes of mint, sage, and patchouli. One or two sprays is more than enough for a long lasting, wonderful aroma. I have already been asked a handful of times what I was wearing.
