Unmatched Style at a Cost
Had the luxury of trying these on twice. Once in the Balenciaga at the Beverly Connection, and once at the Nordstrom at the Grove. These boots are massive. The only boots I've ever seen with any similarity in size or silhouette are the Balenciaga trooper boots; which is why I'm so disappointed in these. Despite having a cartoonishly roomy toebox, the bridge area of the shoe is decently tight on foot. Not only this, but the shaft of the boot provides very little wiggle room for your calf. The material that is EVA polymer, which feels sturdy enough, but still cheap for the $1400 price point. In my opinion however, these are all worth sacrificing for the unmatched aestheticism of giant army boots.
