Wool Blend Tweed Coat

My new obsession. I’ve been on the hunt for a fall trench style wool coat and I saw this at the last second during the anniversary sale and snagged it immediately and I couldn’t be happier! It’s a perfect fit at size 6 (I am 5’6, 135ish for reference) and usually wear 4-6. The 6 feels comfy even with a heavy sweater underneath. Can’t wait to break this out in the fall!

It runs slim on top and long in length for 5'3 statured. For reference I am a size M/8 (36D), so I went with a size 8. Although I can button up, it is slightly snug on top. I don't think I'll be re-ordering a size 10 if it comes back in stock because it'll most likely be too long in the arms, lower body, and in length. This one fits me below the knee which makes for an awkward fit. If you're 5'4 and up, this will be a great fit for you if you size up one size to leave room for layering in cold weather.

This is the one thing I really wanted from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and it was already sold out ten minutes in. There was a size 2 available so I thought I would give it a try. My normal size would be a 4. The coat is beautiful and I’m able to button it, but no room for much underneath. I’m able to move my arms well and it doesn’t feel tight when I bring them forward. I bought the brown and the fabric is gorgeous. For reference I’m 5’5 126 lbs and a 32B. I see that some larges sizes have come back in stock so I will check back frequently to see if a 4 becomes available.

This is a beautiful coat! I’ve had RL coats before and they do tend to run small in the chest/shoulders on me so I did size up like usual for RL coats in this one (even though description said size down—definitely don’t size down particularly if you want to wear a sweater or something thicker underneath). It’s definitely a longer coat (I’m 5’6”) but will work well for fall!
