Crossover™ Longwing Plain Toe Oxford

Ordered these in Maple and they fit well in my normal size. The leather uppers were high-quality and well-stitched. The lining is kind of a padded synthetic material, which added comfort, but may hold more odor than a higher end full leather lining like other shoes in this price range. I ended up returning them, due to multiple issues with the midsole. First, it’s really quite heavy. W&S likely used more of a rubber compound instead of foam for the midsole. While this certainly makes them more durable, it also adds a noticeable amount of weight. Second and probably most importantly, the long ‘tail’ in the back of the midsole made for really awkward landings while simply walking, and interfered with my natural stride. This took away a lot of the idea of a more comfortable dress shoe. Lastly, I don’t really care for the white color. It’s a real shame they don’t still offer these shoes with the ‘Oak’ dark brown midsole they once did. I like the concept here, and appreciate the classic and more normal dress shoe look than a lot of the wacky crap Cole Haan is making nowadays, but sadly these still fell short of what I was looking for.

Wore these once to and from my office, the leather scratched up like crazy. I occasionally but rarely get scratches on leather shoes from typical wear but this pair is so delicate I don’t even know what I scratches them on and the rear sides and toes were extremely scratched up. Very comfortable and cool looking shoe but too scratched up from one time to keep wearing in good shape. I’m sure I could have polished them but not looking to do so daily by any means.

I wanted to fall in love with these shoes, but other than being some of the best looking shoes on the market - they didn't measured up. These shoes ran very narrow on my foot and were too small - they don't fit "true to size". The back sole of the shoes were also uncomfortable as I strike with my heel when walking - it affected my normal stride and would likely affect ones leg muscles if walking long distances (like in an airport). Lastly, other "hybrid" dress shoes were more comfortable on the bottom of my foot.

Good Looking shoe, but very poorly made. The first day I wore these shoes, the leather started veining/cracking at the front of both shoes. Very disappointing considering the amount of money I spent on them. The shoes are very comfortable, great looking, but poorly made. I returned the shoes immediately. Like usual, Nordstrom’s return process was spectacular!
