Embroidered Eyelet Button-Up Shirt

The blouse is on the thicker side, which I anticipated with it being eyelet. I love the looks of the puff sleeve tops, but they just don’t do me any favors. I am 5’4”, a 38DD, with a short torso and neck. These blouses make me look like a linebacker! Again, nothing wrong with the blouse per se; it just didn’t work for my body shape. I imagine it looks darling on other with different bodies, especially tall with narrow shoulders.

I bought the top in off-white and the thread used for the eyelets and embroidery did not look quite the same color as the fabric. The fabric and the stitching did not seem to be of good quality, and the overall effect was not pleasing to me. I was also hoping for something lighter and more airy to be worn in heat and humidity. I have not seen the other colors. As for sizing, the shirt was very roomy.

Fabric is a bit heavier which was a plus for me. Nice eyelet pattern and ruffle detail. Didn’t notice any off-color thread as another reviewer mentioned. I’m usually between a large and extra large and the XL fit perfectly in this top. I’m 5’4” with a long torso and the length was fine for me.
