Toddler Hip Seat

I love love love this. I have both this one and also the tush baby. The only thing I wish it had that the tush baby does have, is a cup holder attached to the waist band. Other than that, I am obsessed and the design is super cute. It matches the aerial carrier I also use for my about to be toddler.

I loved the idea of the hip seat because my 8 month old baby is so heavy- 25 lbs. The regular Ariel was really starting to hurt my traps and I needed a break and was hoping this would be the answer to my problems. I put it on and I. A couple minutes I noticed the seat was digging into my hip pretty bad. I tried several different ways of wearing it- on each hip and in front- and adjusting the height and tightness and I couldn’t seem to get it right. I ended up booking a consultation on the wildbird website. She was so kind but because the product is so new she didn’t have it with her yet so she gave me the best advice she could. I wasn’t wearing it wrong and after looking at the product a bit more and opening the internal zipper there is no cushion between the hard plastic bones of the seat and your hip. It’s just the linen. There is cushion for the baby on their seat but it was extremely uncomfortable for me to wear more than 10 minutes at a time. It is really a beautiful product and I think with some extra padding it would be perfect.
