They're nice if you wear them for short periods
I liked the look but I wasn't thrilled that the strings don't actually adjust anything. They were put on for decoration which is unnecessary and misleading. I do not have wide calves but I was wearing thick socks and it was tight. Also, by the end of the day my feet were moist from perspiration (not rain) and throwing baking soda in the boots was a disaster. They are pretty though.
