Slow fashion at Nordstrom
Slow fashion and department stores are seemingly mutually exclusive. The former implies bespoke craftsmanship and longer turnaround times; the latter suggests instant gratification and wear-it-now convenience.
World of Crow is a slow fashion collective that Nordstrom carries, and they do not compromise their ethos with the partnership in any way. Pieces are still crafted to order, and it will take at least a few weeks for your order to arrive.
But it's that process that ensures such a high-quality product. This dress really epitomizes the brand, made with organic cotton and designed with a master-tailor's understanding of patchwork.
The colors are remarkably beautiful together, with a muted color palette that's perfect for any season. The style is so easy to wear and comfortable, you can wear this for upwards of 14 hours (I have already) and it'll still be comfortable and beautiful.
The style is relaxed; I'm a big fan of larger silhouettes, so I sized to a large, but could have taken a medium had I wanted something more fitted. The length is a perfect midi on my 5'2 frame.
I've discovered more from this line since, so thank you Nordstrom for bringing such a perfect purveyor of slow fashion into my world!
