Perfection

I love this dress. It’s flattering and comfortable and I feel good in it. FP sizing can be tricky and usually runs really big, this dress is more true to size. I’m 5’2”, 130lbs, 32D. The S is perfect. Not too long, flowy without overwhelming me, and supportive enough I don’t need a bra which is great because it has a lovely low square back. One thing to note: I got the black so the embroidery is also black, unlike the other colors that have contrasting embroidery. But it’s still visible, just more subtle which I prefer. It’s gorgeous.

Ivory colour is completely see-through

I ordered this dress for my maternity photos, pre-pregnancy I am a size 4-6, at 8 months pregnant I ordered a size medium and it was true to size. Unfortunately the material is completely see-through. To make this wearable I would need to take it to a seamstress to have a lining sewn into it. The pockets show very clearly underneath the dress because it is a second layer of fabric - so there are two very obvious white patches on either side of the skirt. Style is beautiful, embroidery is pretty, the fabric itself feels really nice, but functionally this dress is a miss. Will be returning.

Beautiful dress unless you're busty

I'm a D/DD and was excited that this beautiful dress was stretchy in the chest area as the Free People dresses that aren't, never fit me in the chest area. Sadly, this one was no different. It was so tight, I felt like I couldn't breathe and immediately took it off. I'm starting to think FP only makes their dresses for women with small breasts.

Romantic Style

I never expected to fall in love with this dress, but all the compliments made it a favorite. I wore it to two weddings. If you are beyond a C cup, would not recommend. You can dress it up or down. The scoop neck is low and the bodice fitted—so you can go braless. In the end I chose a silicone sticky cup for some lift. The dress flows nicely.

Very Flattering During Pregnancy

I love the way this dress flows in the sleeves and skirt. It is very flattering during pregnancy (early 2nd trimester). The fabric is very see through, especially for the price but I will say that this will make wearing a black/ full coverage dress in the summer much more bearable, as it it very breezy. The neckline is low cut but I love the fit. I am 165lb, 5’6, 36C and the size LARGE is perfect.
