James Pants

I found these pants to run slightly small in the waist and hip area. I’m usually a large or 10/12 in bottoms but I would need to exchange these for an X-Large as they otherwise bunch up in the crotch and the pleats become stretched out. They are a lot thinner than you would expect, you would definitely see underwear lines through these as well as cellulite if that is a concern (at least in the olive color.) I likely will return without exchanging as I think these are better suited for summer and early fall.

The cut and fit is quite flattering (5’7 and 129lbs). The material is nice and not thin but still has some flow. It doesn’t wrinkle up as most dress pants do. I’ve been wearing it all summer and besides looking dressier, they are very comfortable. I always get compliments when I wear this set (bought the vest too then added the pants). The legs are quite long but that’s an easy fix.

I’m between a 6 and an 8 but ordered a small since the medium was sold out. I haven’t tried sitting in these pants yet but the pants just have a zipper with a backup clasp. The waist fit perfectly for me but they were baggy from the waist down. I’m not built like I have a BBL but I’m also not built like a stick. The pants didn’t taper out like in the photo. They looked more like parachute pants. I bought the matching vest but it’s hard to match the exact tone of navy so hopefully I can salvage these pants somehow. If not for the vest, these pants would go straight back to Nordstrom.
