Great addition to my Beadnell
So happy I decided to buy the hood. Having a jacket for rain without the hood was pointless!

Unexpected Wire
The color of this hood is perfect with my jacket but I was surprised to see that it has a flexible wire to help hold it's shape except it doesn't actually help hold the shape. The wire does not stay true to form meaning that each time I want to put the hood up I have to reform the wire to be the right shape. It would be best without it! I will keep it because it's a nice edition to my jacket.

useful addition to jacket
Hood is good quality overall, just noted that the Barbour logo tag is very visible (not a real issue but a little awkward). Also note that the wire is very useful with the hood up, but again can be slightly awkward when the hood is down. Overall a useful addition to the Beadnell jacket.

Nice hood
Great hood. It looks good with the jacket and fits well. I got the Acorn Jacket and it fits find (was a little concerned because this is meant for another jacket). I think there's an inventory issue because the tag on my hood actually says "Sylkoil Hood" instead of Beadnell but it works fine for me.
I also have some of the issues other reviews have with the hood -- the weird wire and the fact that the hood can come off easily, since it's just attached by some snap buttons. But I'm pretty happy with the purchase.

Added versatility
Easy to attach to my Beadnell jacket and I like the versatility of having a hood. The color matches perfectly.

Perfect match for coat
Perfect match for my Barbour coat, and the added warmth of the hood extends the wear of the coat farther into winter weather. The only reason I did not give the hood 5/5 stars is if I grab the coat by the hood accidentally, the snaps give way and the hood falls off. Certainly not a deal breaker. I love that I can wear by coat longer!
