Lismore Connoisseur Set of 2 Lead Crystal Rounded Tumblers

Stunning and impeccable quality, but 7 oz tumblers they are not. My mom has beautiful waterford drinkware shaped like these which were, when she bought them 30 years ago, called "double old fashioned tumblers". Hers hold roughly 7 oz comfortably. Compared with the 14 oz double old fashioned waterford drinkware available today, I thought these tumblers would be a decent comparison. I was wrong. They are quite small and only hold about 4 oz of liquid comfortably. That amount will hit a bit above the top pattern cut, which leaves room for walking around and not spilling. Width-wise, I would not be able to fit a cocktail ice cube in - and even if I could, that would reduce the beverage down to about 2.5-3oz of room. I am 5'2" with proportional hands. These felt small in my hands. Used to larger glasses, I could easily see myself not gripping these tightly enough and dropping them. I will return and wait until I come across waterford glasses in store before ordering another size.
