Vitamin C Ester 20% Dark Spot Corrective Serum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this product consistently for 7 weeks and to be completely honest, I haven’t noticed any difference. Unfortunately I think that is because my face is so sun damaged that no product is going to help.

After a few days of use, my skin started looking a little patchy and uneven. I immediately stopped how I was using it and now only use as a spot treatment. After a couple weeks I started noticing my dark spots were slowly fading. A little goes a long way with this product. I was not a fan of the bitter orange smell. Since I am noticing improvement in the areas I applied the serum, I will keep using and will deal with the snell.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this product approximately 6 weeks. I didn't really notice much of a difference until I just took before and after pictures. There is a definite lightening as you can see. I thinks there's a slight citrusy smell, barely noticeable, so if you're scent sensitive; it shouldn't affect you. It's silky-ish feeling and doesn't leave a greasy feeling or anything.

To start, I have mature fair, freckled combination skin that burns easily. I used this serum both in the morning and evening after washing my face. In the morning, I also followed by applying SPF 50+ sunscreen and makeup. I found this product to absorb quickly and I love that it did not sting or irritate my skin. It contains a vitamin C ester that is fat soluble so feels less irritating than L-ascorbic acid. I also like that it contains alpha-arbutin and resorcinol to help brighten and inhibit more dark spot production. I was thrilled to find it did not pill under my makeup too. I only saw a slight fading of dark spots over four weeks so I’ll continue using it for more gradual long term improvement.
