Zinfandel Sandal

This was the exact style I was looking for. Price was good too. This is my first try with vionoc and was really disappointed especially because it was the perfect style for me. The arch sat too far back on my foot. When I lined it up with my arch, my heel hung out the back and the toe area stuck out an inch past my toes…a definite tripping hazard. . I have bought heals my whole life since I was a teen, usually 4 inches or higher that were very comfortable due to where the arch hit. Now that I am 60, my feet have changed and require a lower heel. Sadly these aren’t them. I would be better off in my jimmy choos for comfort. Some people think that it is normal for heels to be uncomfortable, it is not. If the arch lines up properly they can be very comfortable. These would cave in my arches.

I own this shoe in a 9.5 M and it fits true to size. In fact I own about 15 pairs of Vionic shoes from sandals to sneakers to ankle boots. I’m 58 and love that Vionic makes orthotic shoes that are modern and stylish! I wore only flat loafers during the early years of my profession and eventually suffered through plantar fasciitis and a fallen arch on one foot. I soon discovered that heels actually helped ease the pain of a fallen arch. So I moved to wearing 3 1/2 to 4 inch heels with a small platform for about 12 years. Then I discovered Vionics and they have always fit me true to size with great arch support and style! I’m 9 1/2 medium and always order this size whether it’s a sandal, a sneaker or a boot.

Unfortunately I had to return them. They run a half size too big.

I ordered these in navy accidentally. The photos make the shoe appear black, but they’re actually a beautiful navy velvet. I don’t have a need for navy velvet, unfortunately, so I will be returning these. They are SO comfortable, though, as others have said!

If other shoes bother you try these. I think because of the wider toe strap your foot will slide down to comfortably cover and cushion problem areas like bunions. It’s a nice height and the ankle strap is adjustable. If it’s loose you can always use an awl and make another tighter hole in the strap. I finally found a pair of shoes I can walk and dance in all night!!

The shoes are beautiful, soft and well cushioned. The pewter color is fantastic, a matte silvery-gray and they fit 1/2 size too large (typically 8.5, reordering an 8). But…the pair I received is defective and I’m hoping it’s not an issue with the model of the shoe. As shown in the picture, the area where the ankle straps connect to the base are all separated / ripped away in a way that I believe would eventually cause them to break altogether. I first noticed this when there were all there weird pebbles in the shoe box - odd - and then the ankle straps were very loose, even on the smallest hole. I’m hoping the reorder in size 8 will not have the same issues because the shoes are fantastic looks & comfort-wise.
