Stretch Cotton One-Button Blazer

Although this blazer seemed to be well made, I ultimately sent it back because I couldn't figure out when I would wear it. The fabric was too stiff and the cut was too conservative to make a good casual jacket, yet the fabric--in New Ivory, at least--was a bit too see-through for a more formal/work blazer. (The lining has a horizontal seam running under the shoulder blades that shows through the back, and patterned tops also showed through.) It did have some pluses. The fabric was nice--smooth and substantial--and I liked the color (very pale, almost white). About the fit: I'm 5'6", 132 lbs., with an hourglass figure, and wear between a 6 and an 8. The 8 fit me well, even in the sleeves (I have long arms). So I can see that this blazer might work for other people, especially in darker colors. It just wasn't for me.

In this age of high priced blazers, this one is a wonderful find! I ordered 2 sizes - my regular one and one up - because I was new to the label, but ended up going with my regular size. The cut of the upper arms is a little more generous than Joie or Vince (yah!) and there's some stretch too! It nips in at the waist so the overall effect is slenderizing which is nice if that boxy look isn't what you want and are looking for something more polished. I'll have to get the sleeves shortened (normal for me) but would buy it in navy or charcoal in a heartbeat. It would certainly work in the office but looks great with a tee and jeans. Try it!

Nice blazer, well constructed and good quality. I was hoping that the cotton would be a bit more casual, but this cotton has a shiny finish, and looks much dressier than expected. The instructions to order down a size are not correct, at least in the petite sizes. I'm usually between an 8 and a 10, but this size 8 was very definitely a size 8. It was quite snug, and I am small busted, so if ordering a petite size, go with your normal size.

Finally, a blazer that is high quality but not highly priced. I like the fact that I can wear this blazer with jeans or a pair of nice black pants. The cuffs can be turned back to reveal a finely striped lining. Roll up the cuffs, add a couple of bracelets and you got yourself a great look. Keep the cuffs down and you are ready for the boardroom. You cannot beat the price for the versatility this blazer offers.

This blazer seems great for the money. It's structured and very sharp looking, instantly elevating any outfit. The only reason I knocked off a star is because of the fit. It is very fitted, which I like, but it is also a little restricting in the shoulders and back area. It isn't significantly uncomfortable, but I wouldn't be thrilled to wear this long-term. For me, it would work best for a short outing or maybe if I just needed a nice jacket to ward off chilly weather. For the record, I'm 5'0", about 108lbs, and I ordered this in 0P. I ordered online, so I'm not sure how the 2P would have fit. It was in great condition when it arrived and could easily be worn without having it pressed or dry cleaned the first time. If you order online, I would recommend order two different sizes and keeping the best fit.

The cut and fit of this black work jacket is perfect. It is lined, classic and not too short. I'm a 12 and sometimes they feel too tight through the shoulders but this one fits great. It will be my wardrobe staple.
