Lumina Pointed Toe Boot

I keep seeing complaints about this boot. It’s the style!! The calf is meant to be wide. It’s fashion, baby. If you don’t like it, fine, but the calf isn’t too wide. It’s meant to be that way.

Tried these in store today but was really disappointed in the quality of the leather. While the color was a pretty burgundy shade, the leather looked like it had a coating of plastic over the entire shoe making it a little shiny. Not quite patent leather but well on its way. Also, the stitching of the seams across the ankle and front of the foot was very uneven. On the plus side, the show was comfortable and TTS but that was not enough to make me purchase them. I have slightly athletic calves from horseback riding but was still able to easily wear the regular calf boot. Wish I could say it was just the one pair with problems but he pulled out a few for me to look at and each pair was the same. I will say that the black color way looked a little better but still not great. A pass for me.

I love these so much a grabbed 2 colors! For less than $100 you can’t beat the quality and price. They run TTS and both suede colors are gorgeous! Yes the calf wide but it’s the style and doesn’t bother me! Pics of the colors and fit for reference :)

I ordered them in the rich mahogany color. I ordered them for in-store pick up and ordered both a 7 1/2 which is my normal size as well as an 8. I ended up keeping the 8’s as the 7 1/2 was tight in the toe area due to the pointy toe. The calves fit fine, and were even a little big as I have muscular calves. I ordered the medium width. My only slightly negative comment is I wish the leather wasn’t as shiny because I purchased them to try to match a bag that I had also bought during the anniversary sale. Great heel height, and very comfortable boot.

So this would’ve been a 5 star review, but I believe I received a floor model in my shipment. Because of that, the shoes were not properly packed and stuffed and you can see the wear and tear on the suede. I’m not sure if this is Nordstrom’s fault or the actual manufacture. However, I ordered 3 pair of these boots in different color and calf size and saw what the shoes should look like properly stuffed and new from the manufacturer. So, I was a little disappointed in the condition they were in when I opened the box. ACTUAL SHOE Review: these boots are extremely comfortable and the heel height make them easy to walk in for longer periods of time. I read reviews that they are big around the calf, however TRUST me when I say this if you have wide calves ORDER the wide calf. I ordered one pair in regular calf and quickly realized the reviews that said they were too loose in the calf were not the correct reviews for me. So, I returned the regular calf and kept the wide calf. Overall loved the shoe, just wish the shipping quality was consistent across each pair that I ordered. Oh and last but not least I read some reviews that said the leather was bad, but the leather looked very good on the black pair that I received proper packaging for.

I’m a 7.5 usually regular calf. These were swimming on my calf. Even double checked width to be sure they were regulars. Felt fine in room of foot and my high arch. But too big on calf.
