Just lovely
Oh dear sisters in fashion! I know this dress looks like nothing special in the pictures, but it is nothing short of spectacular on! Flattering, very expensive looking, feminine, and fashion-forward with a pronounced retro nod. (And the pockets are fun!)
You just have to try it. Truly, truly beautiful! And so many ways to style it, too.

So disappointing
This dress seemed so perfect online, I bought several in different sizes/colors, CERTAIN I'd love it & keep at least one. Wrong! I love Vince Camuto & have never had fit issues with the brand before. The cut of this dress is just awful. I'm 5'6", 120lbs. I tried the 2: fit perfectly smooth in the chest, nice flared skirt, great length. Problem: my arms were immobilized. Like literally I could not move them forward, up or out from my sides. So much for hugging people. I tried the 4: still a smooth fit in the torso, a little looser, still couldn't raise my arms up but could move them enough. But the skirt! It started flaring out at about my bra band, & looked & felt like a circus tent. I can only imagine the model on the website is pinned in the back. Such a great idea: the seaming, the pockets (!), the bold solid colors. Weird not to have stretch in a fabric. So disappointed.

Lucky me!
I was looking at this dress online for an event, but it was on backorder. No stores in my area were listed as having any in stock. I went to my local Nordstrom to try on a different dress, and in searching for the other dress, the sales clerk happened to come across this one - the only one in the store and it was my size! When she held it up and asked if I'd like to try it, I was thrilled. This dress is so flattering and well-made. I'm currently carrying a few extra winter pounds, but the dress skimmed right over the lumps and bumps. I love the elbow-length sleeves. I'm 5'3", but the regular fit comes right to the top of my knee. I think the petite would have been too short for the occasion. It does seem to run a bit small. The cut is feminine, but not at all fussy. Really, everyone should try this dress. No closet should be without it!

Blue crepe dress.
The crepe dress is lined and felt heavy but after putting it on it felt extremely comfortable. I am 65 years old and was looking for cocktail dress for evening wedding. This dress was perfect. Elegant and classy and will be able to wear dress on less formal events. Good quality and figure flattering design

body-type specific
Loved the look of this retro dress, and Vince Camuto has been a favorite of mine, but the cut of this dress does not work if you have a bust. It seems cut only for fairly flat-chested women. If you have much on top, this dress is probably not for you. I also thought it looked better in the photo than in person, but could look good for the right body type. Fairly thick material.

Classic but with flaws
This definitely runs small, like the product description states. I wear a 12 and this 12 was at least a size too small. The pockets are set low and close to the center of the dress so when you put your hands in, they look like they're disappearing into your crotch. Pluses: the forest green color is really beautiful and the sleeves are a great length. For me, the Tahari version of this dress (the seamed A-line) works much better. It has better pockets (not crotch pockets), a bit more of a substantial fabric, great colors (this one has great colors too, though), and predictable sizing.

Awkward Fit
This dress does not fit my pear shape well (normally A-lines work wonderfully). 1) the waist is too long, even in Petite (I'm 5'4", this shouldn't be an issue), 2) the pockets lie awkwardly in the front and stretch out because of my larger bottom half (there should be more skirt in an A-line), 3) the chest is too large and bunches weirdly. Finally, the material is a weird felt-y knit, not what I think of as "crepe." I would normally size down because the chest is too large, but since the pockets on the skirt are already starting to gape, I think the skirt will be too small in a smaller size.
