Ameira Slingback Wedge Sandal

Wanted to love these shoes however wore them once and they were so uncomfortable . Cheaply made rough edges. I wish I could take them back but since they looked worn before I used them I am sure after one use they won’t be taken back by Nordstroms .

I wanted to love these sandals because they are genuinely cute and the overall design is beautiful. Unfortunately, they are quite possibly the least comfortable shoes in my closet. The wedge itself is stable and comfortable enough when standing still, which initially gave me hope. The problem starts the moment you walk. The toe area is made with a very stiff, sharp material that dug into my feet immediately. After wearing them once, my feet were literally torn up and took weeks to heal. I assumed they just needed to be broken in, so I spent two weeks using a shoe stretcher. It made absolutely no difference. The material never softened, and the pressure points remained exactly the same. For the price, I expected much better quality and comfort. The design is great, but the materials and construction completely ruin the experience. Unless you have exceptionally narrow feet or plan to do very little walking, I would not recommend these. For me, they were a complete waste of money.

I am not going to keep these because the heel is higher and less stable than I expected. It inclines the foot so much that the toes are smooshed in the toe opening. I can't imagine wearing these for very long, but if you're used to heels and pointy shoes, they will probably be just fine. I stick to lower heels these days, even for wedges. As for the aesthetics, the shoe is gorgeous. I loved the look of it and the color of the Brandy leather. I wanted them for casual wear, and they are a bit much for daytime. I am tempted to get them in black for evening, but again, the heel is too high for me. As far as sizing, I usually wear a 7/7.5 and went with a 7. They fit well.

They are hard, squeaks when you walk…. UGH! I do not recommend.
