12-Inch Carbon Steel Wok

A medium pression absolutely loved this pan, however it has not held up. I seasoned the pan properly and have used it three times, handwashing as instructed every time. The pan looks awful. And it’s already rusting on the bottom. I don’t know if I got a dud, but this one is definitely being returned to Nordstrom

My Husband always cooks with Cast iron, Now I love his cooking and I am always impressed with how he uses cast iron. He'd been looking for Carbon Steel and I found one from Viking and thought how could I go wrong, it Viking, You can't! This is an uncoated piece of cookware so you must follow the pre-season and wash directions. We cook, and cook a lot so we understand how to use different types of cookware. When Seasoned following the directions that come with this piece you will even be able to cook an egg without it sticking. My guy did an amazing stir fry in this wok and even finished it is the oven to give a bit of crisp. Another Viking product that will keep you coming back for years to come.

I have now purchased this pan twice because the first pan I purchased rusted on the inside after only four uses. It also rusted on the underneath side as well. The second pan I’ve purchased, I used it once and it rusted on the bottom again and the interior appears to be rubbing off. I have only hand washed the pan. I did not use anything embrace of on it either and you’ll see my photo attached. Terrible quality for being Viking. I will be returning this one as well.
