Victoria One Shoulder Satin Ombré Gown

I never thought I would be into a brand my mom (boomer) wore but here I am- this dress is stunning! Seeking a dress for a black tie wedding in sweltering desert heat. Love the flow of the organza and the ombre feels modern and chic without being overwhelming. I don’t even need a bra for this since and the elegant sash covers over any smoothing I need. The 6 is too tight for my 28-29in waist/132 lbs so I’m going for the 8. The length works on my 5’2” height with 3-4 in platform heels so I’m glad I might be able to get away with no hem shortening. It’s flowy like a gown but not overwhelming so it feels sophisticated and matches the polished chic feel of the ombré pattern. The shoulder sash helps to soften the overall look by adding texture and curves. That’s my favorite part even though I generally hate one shoulder looks. The luster on this organza fabric is also dreamy without taking yourself too seriously! It’s formal but has character with polish. Nordstrom staff was also helpful with this dress too. The customer service is exactly the reason I chose Nordstrom for my last min dress!
