Great looking, but...
I am looking for a stylish waterproof shoe for travel. This is close but not quite right for me. I love the style and the zipper which makes it easier to get on/off! The toe box is a bit narrow and the laces extend all the way to the bottom of the instep which also constricts the front of the shoe. I usually wear an 8.5 or 9 and needed a 9 in this shoe. Another quibble is the interior lining of the shoe - it felt like it would make my feet overheat during long walks. Sadly it is being returned.

Like walking on concrete

Hit the trifecta with this model!
I purchased several varieties of Ara sneakers to try for an upcoming trip to Scotland and this was the winner! Comfort, style, and waterproof (because it rains a lot) made it the perfect choice! I did have to size up a 1/2 size in this model.

Comfortable for my narrow feet!
These ARA gortex shoes are comfortable. I don’t need to worry about the leather being ruined by water. They are a welcome alternative to my running shoes for everyday wear.
