What it is: A precious wood cocktail built around a rare vetiver oil.
Fragrance story: Perfumer Dominique Ropion gives the perfume a highly unusual overdose of vetiver (around 25%, whereas it is usually three times less). Stripped of its bitter edge, a new essence of vetiver matches with five woody notes to play up the scent's various facets. The result is surprisingly fresh and crisp.
Style: Woods, classical, fresh.
Notes: Bergamot, pink pepper, Haitian vetiver, cedar sandalwood, oakmoss, myrrh, musk.

Very unique complex vetiver
I really enjoy this but probably because I love vetiver and anything bergamot. I've always used and love Diptyque's vetiver perfume but this is more interesting and complex, also more masculine with the added sandalwood/cedar. It is fresh but the musk, cashmeran and oak moss bring some depth that keeps me smelling my wrists. I really like it, I got it with a bunch of other FM samples and I keep coming to this one so I may have to buy a real size. Took a star off since I wish this lasted a little longer, about 4-5 hours tops, most FM are 8+ hours.

Wrong fragrance sent
I thought i was ordering Portrait of a Lady as shown in the picture. Instead Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle Vetiver Extraordinaire Parfum Spray came. I should have paid more attention to the wording i just assumed the wording and picture were the same.
