Battista Houndstooth Check Virgin Wool Jacket with Hooded Dickey

Wow?!?’ What a total disappointment this jacket is. Those who have bought VB for several seasons will instantly understand the difference. First off the dickey material is cheap cheap cheap-like really bad. It impacts the effect of whole jacket. The material of jacket itself is ok but not the nice finish on wool with most of her pieces. And lastly the sleeves-like WHY?!? This is so trendy and annoying. Know your customers! This is like the Cinq a sept jacket with the permanently pushed up sleeves. Very little versatility here and definitely not the classic timeless look the VB line is associated with in my mind. Returning right away and whoever will pay $898 for this poor quality after Anniversary is over is insane

I was really excited to get this jacket as I love anything for Veronica Beard with the Dickie. The pattern and colors were great, but the fabric is a little cheap. I’m definitely disappointed and not sure I’ll keep it.

I hope Veronica Beard company reads this? What are you doing with your brand? The quality has taken an absolute nosedive while prices have skyrocketed. VB blazers and dickeys I’ve purchased in years past were of excellent construction, natural, high quality fabrics, and classic design. VB has always been expensive, but at least I knew I was getting a classic piece that would last for years. Most of the blazers now are mostly synthetic fabrics or a blend. The prices are hundreds of dollars more. When I saw this was virgin wool, I was pleasantly surprised. Alas, as others have said, this is not good quality, it’s not even medium quality. $900? You must think we are dumb. I’m done with VB. I’ve been a loyal customer, but no more. Please go back to your business model of quality pieces! Whomever has taken this company down the path of cheap quality should be replaced immediately.

The blazer is prettier in person but I do think the quality was disappointing. The jacket and Dickey are thin and despite being lined, I still felt itchy from the wool. Does run just slightly small. If in between sizes, go for the larger size. But really I would pass on this on. Not worth the sale price.

I have been buying VB dickey blazers for years. I think I’m done. They get thinner and more synthetic feeling every year. Returning. Nordstrom and VB should be embarrassed.

I really wanted to love this VB jacket as I have several Battista style VB jackets already in various colors and fabrics but I wasn't in love with this one so I didn't keep it. Although the color combination is beautiful and I love a Houndstooth fabric, this wool fabric just looked a l little cheap and I thought the neckline would be scratchy and bother me without the dickey. It also runs just a tad on the small side so I recommend sizing up if you're in between sizes.
