Velvet Rose Love

Had to write about this exquisite cologne that I kept getting samples of. Every time I wore it, I felt sexy and I would get compliments. Then, my husband complimented me on a date night and than 3 good friends also complimented my scent which also added another plus! It’s sexy, unique and woody yet feminine. I kind of reminds me of Angel perfume where it’s different and mysterious & addicting. I wear for winter season, date night & I love that it lasts and a little goes a long way! I tried other samples of the “Intense” scents and most were just too strong. So glad I came across this @ Nordies one day. I feel like a sexy witchy goddess while wearing this :)

Something has changed with this scent

I've been buying this scent, Velvet Rose and Oud from Jo Malone since 2017. It doesn't have the same scent or throw it once did. All I smell now is alcohol when I put it on. I used to walk into a room and people would ask me what I'm wearing. Now I have to ask people if they can smell my cologne and they usually can't. If they can, it's because I'm pressing my wrist against their nose. This is ridiculous and I've complained to Jo Malone but as usual they insist the product hasn't changed. This is a flat out lie and they either need to fix the formula or discontinue it.

I finally found my new scent

Ok so here is the deal, I have been wearing Dior Hypnotiyque Poison for over 20 years at this point. I have dabbled in other perfumes but always go back because it’s my scent and even with the shifts in smell over time, it was my smell. This is the first time I have fully committed to another scent and I am obsessed. I love it so much and even though it’s a cologne I rock it every day and get so many compliments on it from both parties. Thanks Nordstrom for finally helping me move onto something new. ❤️

Beautiful scent horrible packaging

For the fragrance: A really beautiful and easy wearing oud rose scent. A bit sweet and the rose really shines through, the oud is quite soft. Longevity is acceptable. It is a beautiful scent. As for the packaging; Nordstrom you really need to do better My bottle arrived naked with no Jo Malone packaging/box and the lid was taped down to the bottle with a mess of scotch tape (truly it was like a web of tape, I should have taken a picture as it was almost comical). So disappointing.
