V-12 Low Top Sneaker (Men)

Unsure which style I would like, I bought the V-10 (all white w. black V) and V-12 (white upper w. black V...tan “gum” sole) to test. Here was my take: I bought both shoes in a size 40, which is my size. They both fit true-to-size for me. The V-10 had the thin, hard tongue that everyone complains about. The V-12 has a fabric-backed tongue, which is still hard and on the thin side - and about an inch too long - but it is a little less rigid than the V-10. Both styles fit similarly, so I ended up choosing based on my favorite aesthetic. I picked the V-12 because I liked the gum sole, which not only looks cool, but it won’t show dirt as badly as the white-sole styles. As others have said, the shoes were not comfortable out of the box. I had three issues: Issue 1: I have an average-width foot, and the toe box was a bit narrow at first. Fix: They became comfortable once I broke them in. Issue 2: The footbed. I have a very high arch, and these shoes (both styles) have zero padding. Fix: I added an insole. Problem solved. Issue 3: The tongue is too long and was rubbing against my ankle. Fix: I tried the “pull the tongue to the side” trick, but within 10 steps, the tongues kept working themselves back to the top. Fix: I ended up just folding my tongues under and tucking the last inch or so under the laces. This works perfectly for me....and I actually like the look better without the long tongue sticking out. Break-in time for me was two full days of wear...walking 5-6 miles each day. On day three, these were super comfy.  These shoes are so stinking cute, and with the break-in and minor fixes, they are now comfortable enough for me that I can walk miles and miles without complaint. Definitely worth the trouble.

I bought a pair of Veja V-12 white/Marsala/ Nautico a few days ago and wore these for a few days. Look: very stylish and luxe sneakers. Quality: I have only worn them for a few days and I don't think there are any problems. Comfort: I can't compare them to running shoes like New Balance (different field), but they are very comfortable, but they need a little time to get used to because the material is leather and it takes a little time to get used to it. Size: This is something to keep in mind. I wear a US 11 (JPN 29cm) in most manufacturers, I tried them on at the Nordstrom store and bought them, so I didn't have any doubts. 44 is just right for these sneakers, and I think I would have been lost in the middle size when I looked on the web. I strongly recommend trying them on, but in my opinion, the length is longer and the width is narrower. I hope this review will be of some help to you.
