Ethical, Cute, and Comfy--what's not to love?
I normally wear an 8.5 or 9 in women's shoes (or a 39 in European sizes) and am glad I read the reviews and sized down for these. The size 8 fits perfectly with a normal pair of socks. I agree with other reviews that the tongue was stiff, but only for about the first 3 minutes of wearing the shoes, and then they molded well to my feet and were perfectly comfortable for 5 miles of city-wandering yesterday. I love the clean and understated style (which is perfect for travel), and I love even more supporting the Vejas company. You really can't go wrong with these shoes.

This review is for the gold pair. They’re super cute, but the leather is very hard and they’re taking a while to break in. If you’re looking for comfort, not sure this is the way to go. But they sure are cute!

Bowling shoes, but make it fashion
This shoes are even cuter in person and going to be a staple for spring! Definitely prepare to break them in as the tongue and heel are pretty stiff. Right below the smallest strap, where the tongue meets the front of the shoe, kinda digs into your foot. In addition, I don't have a wide foot or super high arch, but when your foot is in the shoe, the Velcro doesn't overlap the entire way. Perhaps with a little more wear they will stretch out and both of these problems will be resolved. I typically wear a 9 or 9.5 and after reading reviews, I originally ordered an 8. Ended up returning those and ordering the 9 and they fit great!
