Vania Platform Sandal (Women)

Received these in black, 39 or 8.5. Sometimes to a 9 because my arch or ankles, but not this time. Plenty of room for my high arch, thick ankles and wider foot making them a perfect sandal. Aetrex has another style (crisscross vs the straight strap on the front of the foot which Nordstroms doesn't have, so I plan to order direct bc they are comfortable. Wear them for my sons 24th bday, all day and had no issues. Came home that night and got rid of all the uncomfortable sandals - not worth keeping uncomfortable shoes even if they are cute. The soft foot bed, nice not having to unbuckle & buckle when I came into the house. I was worried about the velcro, but as long as I keep them from gathering fuzz they should last a long time. Well worth the expense.

I have never been great in heels but as I’ve continued my pursuit of running, I take care of my feet. I’m turning 40 this year and taking a trip to Italy to celebrate. I wanted a comfortable sandal, I could dress up or down, to take with me. I have heard so much about the infamous cobbles! I received these a few days ago and have worn them twice. The second time, I was at an outdoor event where I helped carry some chairs maybe 1/4 mile through a grass field and on some uneven paths covered in bark. I never tripped or felt unstable. I was at the event for 6 hours and came home without any sore feet! I absolutely recommend these. I think I annoyed my husband talking about them! Also, I feel the velcro is very secure. It doesn’t feel like it will fall off at all. But they might not be great for very narrow feet.

I wear an 8.5 in most shoes. I ordered the black and red in 8.5 and thought at first they had sent the wrong size bc the black pair is a full size bigger than the red pair. The red is a great color- just the right amount of color pop without being hard to match. They are now sold out of black in my size so I can’t exchange. Although honestly the black was a little more boring and seemed more like an orthopedic comfort shoe than the red. The red says fun and edgy and seems more youthful. I got these because I’m on my feet all day and wanted to tend to my plantar fasciitis without compromising style. See pic for ref/. Both are 39s.
