Valentino Roman Stud Ankle Strap Flat

Okay. Let me start out by saying that I LOVE Valentino. I saved up for these shoes just like I did for my rockstud pumps since they worked well for my flat, narrow feet. I think these shoes are gorgeous online, hence why I preordered them in Feb and waited patiently for them to arrive. Today, they came in. I opened the box and man, I was so ready for them to be the next best thing of my feet, but wow I was so wrong. The length, I’ll say, was fine. I bought a 39, and I’m usually an US 8.5. But the width, the straps, oh man, it was like they were made for people with super high arched and wide (like, really wide) feet. I could nearly kick them off with the ankle strap secured. And the oversized pyramid studs were not helping at all. I’m so supremely disappointed. They are already back in the box and I’m returning today. Hope this helps y’all make a decision.

I normally wear US size 9. I got the 39.5 in these. They fit good but I wish it was just about a quarter of an inch longer. They feel super comfortable on. I have normal width feet but maybe more on the wider side. They fit perfectly width wise- I can see how someone with slender feet would be swimming. The studs are huge but I have thick legs so I feel It goes with my frame. I love them!

I completely agree with previous reviews. I first ordered these through Valentino about 2 months ago. I was shocked when I opened the box and hated them. I thought the spikes were way too big and looked hideous. I returned them. About a month later I ordered them again. I had the same reaction and was going to return them but decided not to. I'm so glad I didn't return them. I finally got dressed and out of my sweatpants and when I wore them out I fell in love! They are so comfortable and such a statement piece. For me shoes always complete any outfit and these did not disappoint. One lady told me seeing the shoes on me has completely changed her opinion and she will reorder a pair for herself.

I had to order this new design after watching few youtubers talked about it and loved it but it’s not for me. It made my feet look huge and wide. The leather feels nice and studs made very well so you might love it if you had tiny feet. I’m usually a size 8 in summer shoes however ordered these in 8.5 but I didn’t have to. I found them true to size

I have both a high instep AND a wide foot. These shoes did not even go on my foot. If there were a tiny bit of elastic at the first strap, MAYBE they would have worked, but for fear of ruining the shoe I didn’t even try. Sad, because these shoes are STUNNING in person. So chic.

Gorgeous shoe, unfortunately does not fit right. Size 40 that I normally wear, my feet are literally sliding off the shoe, size 39.5, feet are handing off in the back. Such a shame for such a nice shoe!!
