V-Neck Quilted Twill Organic Cotton Vest

I got this on sale and think it will be useful. It is lightweight and and has a light cotton lining. I wish it had a kind of lining that would help it slide on more easily over blouses such as linen blouses. My main concern, however, is the POCKETS!! With a quilted fabric, these large patch pockets add weight to my tummy. Also, how could you comfortably put your hands into these if you need a little warming up?? It seems to me that EF is going big time into these large patch pockets, and they are not usable for hands - maybe keys, or other things. Slanted or slash pockets on this (as well as other garments like coats) would have made this a beautiful garment.

This vest is cute and lightweight, but with the quilting it's substantial enough that I may be able to wear it year round. I like the snaps that enable me to wear it open or closed. I anticipate using the vest a lot when I need a little added warmth or as a way to finish an outfit. I'm 5'1", 121 pounds and settled on an XXS, since this is sadly not offered in petite sizing, which is the fit I actually need.

Especially with sleeved dresses, I sometimes prefer a vest over jacket (too warm/ dressy) or shirt (too many sleeves to manage). This vest will go with a variety of tops/ dresses, just as denim usually does. It's not especially heavy, but in hotest summer months I might not choose it. It washed well and is true to size. I only cut one star off because it arrived with missing stitches at the bottom of a pocket; my repair will do, especially as it was on sale.
