V-Neck Crepe Ballgown

I ordered this dress in white to wear to my wedding and I was so disappointed because it looked perfect online. First, the fabric is more like a thin bed sheet - wrinkles easily and doesn't look good. Then the bust had these cups built in that you can see through the top of the dress (see pictures). Not flattering at all! I was sad to have to return because it was the exact silhouette I was looking for but it just did not look good in person.

I usually wear a 4-6 or small in dresses. I bought a 6 and only had to have the sides taken in a little bit in the breast area (im a 34C) I wore 3” heels and the length was perfect (I’m 5’11”) I felt like a beautiful princess in the dress, IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Material is beautiful. The red is gorgeous. I’m literally obsessed and can’t wait to wear it again!

This dress is absolutely beautiful in person. It feels just like a ballgown should, and I kinda float in it as I walk. I’m wearing it to a black tie wedding and decided to remove the second layer of horsehair/tulle because the dress is massive with all of the layers. I think one layer less will tone it down a bit, but it will still flow nicely.

It was the perfect dress for our Hawaiian beach wedding. The dress fit like a glove and wasn’t to heavy, it was very hot. Beautifully made, love the pockets, and you really couldn’t see them through the material. I love it, and I’d choose it again.. highly recommend, which I almost never do..

I wore this dress in white for my wedding! That being said, there are some considerations for others who are also thinking of going that route. 1) As some other reviewers have said, this dress is a bit see-through. You could see the pads in the bust fairly clearly. I got around this by wearing a white strapless corset and white boy shorts...so it all became more solidly white and that solved the issue for me. 2) I'm usually between a sizes 8 and 10...the 10 fit me perfectly, the 8 was super snug at the waist. Luckily, since it was Nordstrom, I could easily return the 8. I did need to get it hemmed and the straps taken in. 3) I wouldn't say it's the most durable of fabric, but for the price I was happy with it. For me, it only really needed to last the 1 day. I did pay to get it pressed the day before the wedding, which helped it look its best. 4) I paired it with a Brides and Hairpins belt (also from Nordstrom) to add a bit of sparkle. Docked it 1 star due to the see-throughness and durability...but overall I was quite happy with it, especially for the price. Hope this helps!
