Uptown Perf Penny Loafer (Women)

I absolutely love these shoes, comfortable, width is great (bunions), however, today I noticed a small gash in the side of my shoe. I could live with that, marred, they're just for casual. BUT on close inspection the surface seems to be just a thin layer and it seems to be peeling and the surface is so thin, I feel I have to return them because they just aren't going to last - $145 worth. It's concerning how it happened, also; I don't remember any big "shoe event", meaning, why was it so easily damaged? I've worn them 6-8 times, just walking, normal everyday, nothing active. Sorry because they're amazing, cute, too.

Writing this review primarily to comment on the metallic version of the loafer, which on my computer, looks to be a little bit more silver than gold. Wanted to let anyone know who is curious that the metallic loafer definitely has a little bit more of a yellow or gold cast to it than what is shown in the photograph. I cannot speak to the rest of the shoe because the color didn't work for me.
