What it is: A gentle, hydrating, Nordstrom-exclusive cream-to-foam facial cleanser that removes makeup and sunscreen without stripping skin.

What it does: This deeply hydrating and nourishing face wash works to help you stop stripping and start cleansing. The cream-to-foam formula transforms into a dense micro-foam with tiny bubbles that lifts away dirt and makeup without stripping your skin's moisture barrier. It's formulated specifically with Amino Acid Surfactant that works to lift impurities, plus Squalane and Glycerin that hydrate the skin barrier and help retain moisture.
How to use: Lather formula with water to create the creamy foam texture. Massage over face in a circular motion. Rinse thoroughly and remove excess with a damp washcloth or water. It's gentle enough to use twice a day.

Not what I expected from a Kiehl’s Product…
I was so excited to try this product- slowly switched over to Kiehl’s line of skincare- this was the last product to complete the set!
When I opened the tube, added the water, nice, creamy consistency. But when I got it near my face, it smelled sour(like a sponge?!?),… Tried it again, w/make up- same sour smell, and it stung/irritated my eyes! Possibly a bad/older batch? I don’t know, but if someone Actually Reads this- I would Really appreciate Customer Support, Re:Replacement, or a Refund!

Not for my dry skin…
I wanted to like the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial/Barrier Hydrating Cleanser since it’s marketed for dry, sensitive skin, but it didn’t work for me. My skin felt just as dry and tight as it does with gel cleansers, if anything, I prefer gels because they rinse cleaner.
This has a lotion-like texture but doesn’t actually feel hydrating, just slightly coated without real comfort. It didn’t calm or improve my skin.
Overall, it’s not terrible, but definitely overhyped for “dry sensitive skin.”

This is a great cleanser from Kiehls, like most of their cleansers I cannot fault it. It does a really good job at cleaning your skin and pores without stripping your face or irritating your skin barrier. I have sensitive and oily skin and I have no issues with this product. It also pairs really nicely with the ultra facial cream.
