Australia 'Classic Short' Leather Water Resistant Boot

These are cute boots. I thought that these would be my go-to favorites - beautiful cognac color, smooth leather, great - right? However, I can not recommend them. First, they scuffed just by slipping them on to try. Then a bigger problem: the little tag in the box that reads "Ugg Pure". Without getting too specific - shearling is fur (with the hide) that has natural warmth while moisture wicking properties. Ugg Pure seems to be sheared wool (NOT shearling) that is glued or woven into (I am assuming cowhide) leather. There is a big difference. I feel that this new mode of production is not the same quality - yet at the same price point. Others may not bothered by this - but I am not happy that Ugg seems to think they can pull the wool over my eyes. ;) Hope this helps.

I was so excited about getting these boots...until I got them home. I have six other pairs of Uggs, all with the authentic shearling lining. I am very disappointed that this company has begun producing a fake shearling, Ugg Pure, and charging the same high price point. There are a lot of brands that use man made materials to replicate shearling and they cost far less. You can definitely tell the difference in both how the material feels and the level of warmth you can expect. I love Uggs but I will be careful to verify what kind of lining is inside any future purchases I consider.

I walk my dog every morning and evening through the park and was really excited for my new water resistant UGGs to wear in the grass. Sadly, the second time I wore them, within 5 minutes of walking in the morning dew, the inside of my feet were wet. The boots are less water resistant than my original cloth UGGs that I've had for years. The oxblood color is beautiful and they're soft and warm like UGGs should be, but being that my primary reason for getting them was to walk in the morning grass, they will be going back.

These boots are great looking, the color is gorgeous. However they were very hard to pull on and off. If they had side tabs , it would have solved the problem. Maybe ladies with super narrow feet could get them on with more ease.

I have many pairs of UGGS but by fair I think these may be the best due to them being waterproof and Leather. The fit is a little small I ordered a size down as always but they seem hard to pull on. I'm hoping that once I start to wear them they will loosen up.

I've been waiting for split leather Uggs like the Maylin but without the froufy shearling outer cuff. These are just the ticket! Just like the classics in every other way and definitely more able the withstand the rainy season here in the northwest. I do not see any difference with the UggPure lining. No shedding; thick and warm and sumptuous as my other Uggs. My one star demerit is for not taking these one step further and into perfection. I would love to get the Maker's ear and request s/he/they make this boot in the colors just like the Maylin, specifically the deep brown, and to make the sole the same as well - switch the classic cloth piping and generic sole to the more rugged Maylin sole that features the contrasting rubber where leather meets rubber. Still, all around gorgeous boot. Buy them before they are gone!!
