Type 1 Denim Trucker Jacket

Size Down. I typically wear a Medium but I am swimming in this. Sleeve length is fine, but the body of the jacket is quiet large. The jacket is also quite a bit longer than a type I typically is, with the hem falling below the belt line. Sizing down would probably bring the proportions more in line with what I expect with a Type I. The handwarmer pockets are a welcome addition, and really aren't noticeable when not in use. The fabric is thin and light, but I love the texture. It's a beautiful dark indigo with a bunch of nep. It's softer than what you'd expect from raw denim, but its rougher than what prewashed denim typically brings. Might be one wash? The hemp might be contributing to the coarseness too. Quality is average. Not bargain bin, but certainly not 'premium'. There is no stitching around three of the five button holes which has caused the fabric to fray The selvedge is a cool quirk, with the edge on the cinch strap, chest pocket interior and While the promo images do show exposed lines on the cinch and pocket, there is no outward facing selvedge line on the actual product. Personally I don't think it matters, but that may be important to you. The hang tag that came with the jacket tells you to roll up the cuff and look at the selvedge but there's only lock-stitching in the sleeves. Missed opportunity.

This selvedge Type I is unsanforized. I sized up to XXL thinking it's tight like LVC but not at all. So I did a hot soak and then threw it into the dryer for 10 mins and it shrunk a size down, now it fits like my oversized SilverTab Type III in XL from a while back. This must be the best deal in selvedge denim jacket ever.
