Super cute but TIGHT in the bust

I'm a large/14, but am 38DDD, so went up to the XL. Super cute shirt but the XL was still too tight in the chest only, gaping buttons. I hate it because this is a really crisp cute shirt

Not quite a winner

I love the knotted detail and the color. My issue is that the armholes on the XXL were so huge that it showed 2" of bra on each side. Can't speak about the smaller sizes. I probably could have went with an XL, but with no bust dart in the construction I don't think that would solve the fit problem.
