True Body Boost V-Neck Bra

I needed a bra without underwire after surgery. I tried this bra on, and sized according to the size chart. It felt fantastic and I bought three! Excited to wear a bra that didn’t hurt, I put on my new bra and went off to work. In less than two hours it seemed the bra had stretched at least a full size and the pads had moved to ridiculous parts of the bra. I kept tugging and adjusting and tugging to keep the bra from riding up. Dreadful. Got home a looked at myself in the mirror and had to laugh at how bad I looked in this bra after 8 hours. It’s not breathable, stretches like nobody’s business and generally a hot mess. Two of the three are going back.

I bought this bra in both black and nude and I am in love! I stopped wearing underwires a year ago and never looked back. This bra is so smooth and seamless, it will never show marks under your top. I know the padded inserts are usually annoying to re-insert after every wash, but this padding is super supportive without being over-padded. I love how the shape cradles me better than typical padded inserts. Reminds me of a shoe with good arch support ;)

This bra is very comfortable. I like that there are no straps or hooks, it’s easy to put on take off, and I appreciate the push- up effect. The material is thin, soft and stretchy. However, I noticed that I sweat a lot underneath this bra, there’s something about this synthetic material that doesn’t mix well with my body chemistry. Normally, I can rewear my bras for a few days, but this one has to go to the wash after one day of use. It is very unfortunate because I like this style a lot. I’m hoping that the brand would start offering this style of bra in natural blends like cotton or wool.

I absolutely hate bras, but as a busty plus-size person, I have to wear them! This bra is about as good as it gets for me. This style is the only True style that works for me. There is enough support for my girls, and enough padding for full coverage. Pluses: Super comfortable! Back of bra stays smooth and doesn’t ride up. Easy to launder in washer on delicate. Downsides: The bra stretches out with wear. The pads can and do move around. The pads have to be laundered, because they absorb perspiration just as the bra does. You have to remove them to launder, otherwise they move around in the bra and/or fold over. This means you have to reassemble the bra after every washing. For me, the band around the bottom rolls immediately. Negatives notwithstanding, it's WORTH IT because of the COMFORT!!! For reference, I am 64, 5'5", 42 D, 165 lbs, and the XL is perfect.
