Trista Lace Inset Maxi Dress

This dress has a lot of unique details and the lace inserts are more of a mesh lace with painted designs. The materials are soft and very comfortable, almost feels like a nighty. However, the fabric when even slightly stretched shows pulling lines across the back and front. It seemed like it was meant to be a stretchy fabric but it shows pulling for an appropriate fit. Like imagine wearing a pair of leggings that is in your size and doesn't feel like its pulling or constricting your body at all, but it shows like stretched seams or ripples in the fabric. Not really sure how to explain it in words. This probably wouldn't show as much in the black as it did in the lilac. Material also shows skin texture though the dress. The liner has a slit that is higher than the lace panels which could show crotch if you were dancing up a storm. I am between a size 12 and 14 and ordered an XL, which fit very well and wasn't grabbing any areas, but still had the weird pulling look described above.
